800 gallon pond, waterfall, koi, garden art. Not accessible.

Bigger may not always be better, and this may be just the size pond you were looking for in order to start you on your ponding journey. This lovely six-foot by ten-foot, 800 gallon pond was built in 2010 and modified in 2018 by Matt Boring of Texas Ponds and Water Features. It contains a waterfall weir and skimmer to provide circulation and enhance water clarity.

George’s back yard in Steiner Ranch has a steep slope and is rocky. So when he moved into his home, he planned to recontour the large back garden with a dry creek bed to help with soil washout. Instead, he decided that a pond would be a much nicer addition.

Now he is able to spend the afternoon relaxing on the upper deck with friends, listening to the soothing sounds of the waterfall and watching the koi swim around the pond. Colorful garden art provides a whimsical touch.

*Not handicap accessible. Visitors will be able to pass through the first floor and look out on the back garden from the large deck.
