Rajat and Lisa’s journey with ponds and koi began twenty years ago, and over the years they have built several koi ponds and meticulously crafted their landscape to embody the serenity of Japanese aesthetics. The property features a Zen Rock Garden (Karesansui) in the front yard and a tranquil backyard water garden with a 16,000-gallon in-ground pond as the centerpiece. The pond includes a stunning 10-foot-wide, 8-foot-tall waterfall inspired by Japan’s Manai Falls, along with a flowing stream, an intake bay with a bog and a serene “Heiwana Shima” (Peaceful Island). The beautiful koi possess a gentle nature and stunning variations in colors and styles.
