2024 Austin Pond Tour Paul Price |
This unique water feature forms a 40 foot long, 2 foot wide arc around a stone patio. The water depth varies from a shallow cascade over rocks to a 2 foot waterfall. The two bogs include water iris, horsetail and 6 foot elephant ears which filter water for koi, goldfish, gambusia, frogs and toads in the central pond area. The main part of the pond around the patio had originally been a flower bed. It took a year to remove dirt and rocks, add rubber lining and create a pipe and pump system. The large cut limestone blocks lining both sides of the pond were from the original flower bed. |
