2023 Austin Pond Tour

Nancy's Pond & Gardens

From gnomes, to native plants, rock mushrooms, a pond, a fountain and many other features, this garden has a little bit of everything. The pond was built in 2015 and the fountain added in 2017 by a young man who was living with me rent free while he was getting himself established into the Austin area. In exchange he also provided help with some landscaping and gardening to my yard. I have been adding to my garden and collecting artwork that is featured throughout since 1985. Notice the limestone fish by the pond as well as the limestone mother and baby bear by local sculptor, Cat Quintanilla. My shed has a whimsical fairy mural painted on one side and located close by is a reproduction of “The Little Gardener” by the famous American sculptor, Silvia Shaw Judson who also has a piece featured in the White House Garden. My garden is also home to many native plants such as; Beautyberry, Black Dalea, Butterfly Weed, Sundrops, Red Yucca, Wax Myrle and many others.
